About

This monologue was started in a whim of a moment. Miss Glitzy isĀ a corporate slave from Singapore trying to earn big bucks in the finance industry and a not-so-closeted blogger. She enjoys good food, dressing up and trashy magazines. When she has time, she takes pictures from her disposable plastic lomolito. One of her biggest wishes is to get a jet-setting career and high-flying lifestyle. Sadly, to date, this is just a dream.

An interview with Miss Glitzy
Why do you call yourself “Miss Glitzy”? Are you always clamouring for glamour?
Nah. Long long time ago, I had a personal website and in that long title of my site was a word “Glitzy”. When Gmail first started, I thought a username starting with “G” would be kinda cute and decided to use “Glitzy” as my username. This became the convenient choice when I signed up for more accounts elsewhere, including WordPress. I actually registered this WordPress account some 3 years ago? Anyway when I started this blog in April 2009, I thought it would be convenient to call myself “Miss Glitzy” so that everyone could remember the URL easily.
Since you are not as glamorous as your name suggest, please describe yourself with another word.
Unassuming.
When do you start blogging?
I first started blogging when I was a sweet young thing some 9 years ago but those blogs document my daily life. “Miss Glitzy’s Monologue” was started in April 2009 out of impulse, and probably also out of sheer boredom.
What do you hope to get out of blogging?
I regard “Miss Glitzy’s Monologue” as an outlet for my creativity (or lack of) and I am in it for a fun ride!
Why do you call yourself a corporate slave?
Like many others, I’m tied to my job and aspire to ascend the corporate ladder. The job forms much of my motivation in life, amongst other things.
I need technical help! How do I search for your outfit posts only?
To browse my blog entries sorted by categories, simply click on the category at the sidebar of the page.
Are you and Miss Chubby or Miss Armotif really friends?
Actually no. We are frenemies. I hope this sounds bitchy enough for you. Hurhur!

Well it looks like you must have the jet-setting career part accomplished already.
So with a little patience (and probably a lot of time spent looking at spreadsheets) the high-flying lifestyle will follow!

Thanks for dropping by! Not jet-setting or high-flying yet but you are spot on regarding those spreadsheets and VLOOKUP and IF(ISERROR) and thankfully no VBA. I will just work towards my dream and hopefully it’ll come true in a few years’ time.
And all the best for your sushi bar. I’m sure it will be a hit!
